Advocacy Material: Social Media Infographic

Through this social media campaign, the UNHCR and Global Campaign for Education hopes to raise funding in order to build Special Need Centers and to spread global awareness about the situation in refugee camps.

These Special Need Centers provide support for people with disabilities. With a wide ranges of disabilities served, these centers can also provide protection, education, training, and support to the community as well. Children can receive educational support and functional assessments, while community members can be trained in order to support and protect the child as well.

In conjunction with the press release, the organizations of UNHCR, Global Campaign for Education, and Refugee Council USA will release the social media infographic to be posted, in hopes of raising funds for the building of Special Need Centers. These organizations all have connections and influences that can help spread this topic.

However, the main target for this campaign is to raise global awareness. With the growing number of organizations continuing to show signs of support, the growing pressure onto the African Union and countries can start obtaining reliable data, policy change and service implementation of inclusive education for children with disabilities.
