Advocacy Material #2: Social Media Campaign for Safe Schools Declaration
The following gallery shows examples of the sorts of images we would use to mobilise the public. Two of the graphics have French equivalents. Given the multitude of languages spoken in the DRC, we plan to distribute these images on all social media platforms in all major regional languages as well as in French and English. A full social media campaign would include more facts about violence in schools, and would give more information regarding the SSD. Specifically, it would tell the public how they can help, by linking them to petitions, and to government platforms. It would also invite them to follow us and share our posts so we can gain more traction on social media and direct these images to specific government officials ourselves. By monitoring the growth in our social media presence and the trends in certain hashtags, we will be able to gauge our progress and make changes accordingly.
