Article from the Swarthmore Phoenix published on October 2, 1962 announcing the establishment of the Chester Tutorial Project. Richard James from the Chester NAACP Youth Council speaks at the meeting with the Swarthmore students from the Swarthmore Political Action Club (SPAC), the Christian Association (CA), and the Community Service Committee. Reasons for the project's creation, its goals, and plans for its execution are disclosed. The inspiration for the project is attributed to projects carried out in Philadelphia and New York by the Northern Student Movement.
