Article from The Swarthmore Phoenix published on September 25, 1962 announcing incidents of violence at sites of voter registration efforts by the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). There are multiple instances of shootings whose details are shared, including the names of those injured, their relation to the voter registration efforts, and their current condition. Toward the end of the article, the field secretary of SNCC comments on the attacks, including the racial politics motivating them.
